Louann Sidon

Louann Sidon is drawn to exotic and oftentimes endangered animals as well as vibrant plant life. She mainly works in acrylic on plywood panels. Her work is highly detailed, created through meticulous rendering. With the smallest of paintbrushes Sidon emulates numerous textures be it scales, fur or feathers. She hopes to capture and preserve these unique animals, immortalizing her own versions of them. As well as aiming to capture the majestic qualities of such exotic creatures, she also delves into the obsession of the exotic in Western culture.
